Teddy Bear Tea at The Roosevelt

This was the first Teddy Bear Tea that The Roosevelt (formerly The Fairmont) had since hurricane Katrina. Mia enjoyed being a young lady and having tea, scones and other desserts.

Birthday party celebration continues....

The last of the birthday celebrations.....a birthday party with family.

The Birthday celebration continues.....

Birthday celebration #3 was a party at Boo Koo Bounce with friends.

12-9-09 = Mia's Birthday

How many birthday celebrations can one girl have? Birthday celebration #1 was waking up with a cupcake filled with 7 candles. Birthday celebration #2 was a party at Drago's with a brownie/ice cream a la mode with 7 candles and a room full of mommy's co-workers (it was my work holiday party and we incorporated Mia's birthday.....they all know and love her) singing "Happy Birthday".

Decorating the Christmas Tree

Naughty or Nice

Baytowne Wharf had fireworks, the lighting of the Christmas Tree and Santa's arrival on Black Friday. Carolyn and I had hit the outlet mall at 11:45 pm for the midnight madness sales and, it was madness! We finished shopping at 3:30 am with Starbucks in hand. This event topped off the day seeing Mia enjoying Santa (until last year, she was afraid of him and wanted nothing to do with him). I'm sure she was telling him about Margaret (Mawwww-g-ret), the elf that comes to visit each year before Christmas.

Patience is a Virtue

Ryan and Bella came to watch us paint. And, they waited and waited. Almost 4 hours later, we were finished.

Paint'n Place @ Baytowne Wharf

We LOVE Ms. Diane!!! And, Mia LOVES to paint!!!
I think we spent at least 3 if not 4 hours painting one day. Over the course of our week vacation, Mia painted twice with Ms. Diane. Mia painted the Christmas tree platter, I painted the square reindeer platter with Mia's hands and feet making the reindeer and Ryan's thumb making the reindeer nose and Grandma painted the Sun jewelry box.

Thanksgiving at Baytowne Wharf

We spent Thanksgiving in Destin at The Village of Baytowne Wharf. Mia befriended Ms. Diane from the Paint'n Place two years ago. Every time we are back at Baytowne, Mia goes to see Ms. Diane and paints away.
This was our first year to go for Thanksgiving. Mia and I tried our luck at ice skating.....we weren't bad considering it's been a while since I skated at Chateau and this was Mia's first time.

Halloween

We went to Ponchatoula for Halloween. Mike and Beth had a green egg cookout so pre-trick or treating we went over and met Mary Ann and Ginger. Mia had a great time playing with them. Mia was Miley Cyrus/Rock Star, Sandy was a Devil and Bella was a Spider.

Miley Cyrus Concert

I was able to get floor seats, row 6 for the Miley Cyrus concert. Mia and Kaitlin were surprised in early October with the news. Mia picked out her oufit from Children's Place. Notice the banged up knees! She fell at school earlier in the week.
