Dentist

Since we moved, we found a new dentist for Mia. Pediatric Dentistry has changed since I was a kid! Mia can watch TV/Movies while the dentist does his work. And, she was cavity free so she's in the "no cavity club".

A new look

A missing tooth and glasses!! She favors the frames below but wears both....usually whatever pair she grabs in the morning is the choice for the day.

New School - St. Matthew the Apostle

Kindergarten here Mia comes..... Here she is on her first day of Kindergarten at her new school, St. Matthew the Apostle

This is Mia and Ms. Molly, her teacher.

And, here she is with her new classmates (Lindsey and Megan) and the aide, Ms. Katherine.

Mia lost her 1st tooth - August 6th

Mia lost her first tooth! It was hanging by a nerve so I tied dental floss around it and pulled and pulled and pulled until it finally came out. She cried at first because she had blood in her mouth but that was over quick when she saw her tooth hanging from the dental floss. She was SO excited that the tooth fairy was going to come that night.
On the phone calling EVERYONE and I mean everyone to tell them that she lost her tooth.

Here's the tooth....

And, what the tooth fairy gave her for her tooth.

Very proud about the hole the tooth left...she kept putting her tongue in it!

Baytowne Wharf - Sandestin, Florida

The Grand Sandestin

We stayed in The Grand Sandestin for our beach vacation this year and celebrated Grandma's birthday! We all had a GREAT time. The condo was just the right size and was very nice...thanks Kathy J. The Baytowne Wharf had SO many things for us to do. We were never bored! We had great weather all week and Mia had a blast swimming, playing at the playground, painting pottery, bungee jumping, fishing, feeding the fish, shopping, at the beach....I could go on and on. She looked forward to every night because they would shoot fireworks and we had a great view from our balcony.

High School Musical 2 Poolside at Cross Gates

Cross Gates Athletic Club showed movies by the pool during the summer. The kids could swim in any of the 4 pools while watching the movie or sit in a lounge chair. They served a variety of food/drinks. Mia and Kaitlin wore the same bathing suit.....the twins....and it was not planned!

Ryan went fishing the same day....

Dance Review Preview 2008

This year Mia danced to "George of the Jungle" and "These are a few of my favorite things". She had a preview at the dance studio and received her trophy for dancing 2 years and had a dress rehearsal on stage. (Click on the collage to see larger pictures)

The Graduation/Pre-K Program

Here's Mia with prayer hands entering OLL's church for her Pre-K Program and last day of school. Brady is in front of her and Chandler is behind her.

The 3 Pre-K classes did a combined program in the church. They each sang songs as a class: Our Father, God Be In My Head, Secret to Bad Feelings, This Little Light of Mine and Kindergarten Here We Come.
Here's Mia getting her recognition packet with her "passing" certificate.

The Amazing Race

Ryan won $$$'s from Cross Gates Athletic Club for winning The Amazing Race. If it weren't for Kristin wanting to join the game and me signing him up, he wouldn't have won. So, we said that if we won, we'd all go to dinner, without kids. The race went on for 6 weeeks. Every time you went to the club to exercise, you filled out a block on your race sheet. For every block that you signed, you won a chance to win $$$'s. At the finale, they drew 2 people from the "blue team" and 2 from the "black team". Ryan was on the black team and I screamed SO loud when they picked his name. So, Kevin, Kristin, Ryan and I went to dinner at Young's (famous steak house) in Slidell.

Here's Kaitlin, Ms. Marlene (aka Daytime Momma) and Mia at Kaitlin's house ready to babysit the girls and Kameron for us. Marlene was Kaitlin and Mia's infant room teacher when they were at Primary Colors and was Kameron's too. I would tease Marlene that she was Mia's daytime momma....all the babies LOVE Marlene....she spoils them!

Relaxing at the Pool

We all decided to take a Sunday off from Body Pump and Body Motion and head to the pool. Here's the Callahan and Rodriguez families enjoying the pool....
