Fort Morgan, Alabama - Beach Vacation

These are some of the highlights of our week vacation.

Mia on the pier fishing and crabing. She caught a fish but the line on her pole got tangled and before we could pull the line to the pier the fish got off.......no fish story either! Everyday the pelicans would come sit on the poles.
Mia and Ryan on the bottom pier fishing.
The sunsets were great. We would watch them from the screened in porch with the fans blowing. This picture was taken by Mia.
Grandma's birthday. We celebrated her birthday with a Bopper (custerd) Cake from Shake's....YYYYYUUUUUMMMMYYYYYYY!

Swimming, Swimming ..... CANNONBALL

Mia loved jumping in the pool. After 3 jumps she had to sit on the steps to catch her breath. She usually sang the Pledge of Allegiance, her ABC's or counted to 50. Here's Mia doing a cannon ball!!
The swimmer swam and swam and swam until she couldn't swim anymore.
Mia taking a break while Aunt Barbara watched everyday!
Here's the Cannonball of all daddy's......Ryan. Mia loved the waves after he hit the water!

Fort Morgan - Beach Vacation

This is the inside of the house (Wendy's Way) that we stayed during our beach vacation in Fort Morgan (Gulf Shores).

The second living room/den that has a fire place with tv/dvd/vcr player. This room faces the front of the house.

Another view of the same room. You can see the fireplace with this view and look out the picture window.
This is the living room that leads to the open kitchen. This is the main room that we stayed in to watch tv. It also leads to a screened porch that gets you to the backyard.
The is the master bathroom. HUGE tub that you had to climb stairs to get in.
The kitchen and dining room.

Beach Vacation

This is the house we rented for a week "Wendy's Way". It was a 4 bedbroom 3 bath (1 bath was outside in the laundry room) home.
This is at the pool looking back towards the back of the house. We swam every day and most days Mia went twice a day.
This is the walkway from the back of the house to the pool (on your left) to the screened in porch over the bay. Another picture from the back of the house looking at the pool.
This is the screened in porch and pier. Every night except one, we would go to the porch and watch the sunset.

Lake Cavalier with the Zeldens

This weekend we went with the Zelden's to their lake house on Lake Cavalier in Mississippi. We had a great time and with it being overcast, we were not hot which was a relief in mid July.

Here's Trent and Mia on the pier trying to catch a fish. They were up at the crack of dawn wanting to go catch a turtle, frog or fish. After no luck with catching a turtle or frog, they decided to try their luck fishing. And, Trent caught his first fish! Mia is assisting.
Mia decided that she wanted to try by herself so here she is trying her luck.
Mia on her first boat ride on Lake Cavalier.
Here's Samantha showing her stuff on skis. She also boogy boards and can turn around!

Trent and Mia singing "Who let the Dogs Out" The kids on the tubes. Mia had a blast! They cracked up laughing especially when Greg created waves to go over and when he went fast. Greg wouldn't go until Mia said "HIT IT" and then he'd go full throttle!
Mia hooked her daddy in the booty when casting. She cracked up laughing and thought that was so funny! Hey, at least she caught something!!
Mia, Trent, Deonne and Cathy riding in the boat watching Samantha ski.

Mia trying her luck again and again. Ryan who hasn't skied in at least 9 years made it back up onto the water.
Deonne showing her stuff on the water.
Mia after she "got out the boat". The kids jumped off the boat into the water and then swam around or climbed back in to jump off again. She, to my surprise, was not afraid of jumping into the water from the boat and swimming to the back to climb the ladder to get back in. Samantha was in the water keeping watch.
Mia and Trent at Bass Pros Shops looking out under the waterfall in the store.
